A (COMEDY) LIFE IN POLITICS. THE RETURN OF "YES, MINISTER"!

Caught in the world of red tape, the cast of YES MINISTER. Image: BBC TV.
Fans of Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn's seminal British political comedy, YES, MINISTER, starring Paul Eddington (as the beleaguered Minister of Administrative Affairs, Jim Hacker), Nigel Hawthorne (as the sly Civil Servant Humphrey Appleby) and Derek Fowlds (as the caught in the middle secretary Bernard Woolley), are in for a treat tomorrow, as the 1983 radio version of the wickedly funny series, which worked very well in its adapted audio only format (what with its clever scripting and witty observations that still have much political relevance today), gets a welcome weekly re-airing on the UK's RADIO 4 EXTRA from Wednesdays at 8.30am and 7.30pm.

Let's hope the channel gets round to airing both series!
