MAN WITH A MISSION: JAMES BOND'S 'SKYFALL' NEARS...

Worldwide enthusiasm continues apace for all things BONDMANIA with the upcoming October/November release of what will surely be Daniel Craig's third stunning outing as Ian Fleming's James Bond 007, in the eagerly anticipated SKYFALL, directed by fellow classy Brit visualist Sam Mendes. Continuing the ground-breaking traditions of glamorous locations and innovative and realistic action that have defined the series throughout it's fifty years of on-screen life, the cast and crew were last month (indeed up to this next week) finishing up the invigorating and suspenseful combat sequences for the films pre-title sequence: a major gun battle/chase involving Bond and his fellow MI5 agent Eve (Naomie Harris) through an Istanbul bazaar, culminating in a fight atop a moving train heading through Turkey, as Bond pursue the dangerous henchman Patrice (the Swedish TV's WALLANDER actor Ola Rapace).

Prior to the visual and atmospheric delights of Istanbul, the Bond team had also filmed second unit in Shanghai, had fun and danger in a specially built Macau floating casino, and crafting a further spectacular night-time machine gun conflict on a mansion estate set in Scotland, but recreated in Southern England and Pinewood Studios, as Bond, on family heritage soil, takes on the film's main baddie, the mysterious and quest-driven Raoul Silva (the creepy on screen presence of the off-screen charming actor Javier Bardem), who's brought his private army of thugs via helicopter to the site.
