BILLION DOLLAR BOND! 'SKYFALL' ARRIVES ON BLU-RAY AND DVD

For Queen and Country: James Bond (Daniel Craig) shakes and stirs the world in Skyfall. Image: MGM/EON.

Officially the most successful James Bond movie of all-time at the worldwide box office, even surpassing the legendary Sean Connery's aquatic adventures in the Bahamas: the epic Thunderball, Daniel Craig's confident third outing as the definitive British secret agent, the character recently celebrating his Fiftieth Anniversary on the big screen, Skyfall, arrives exclusively on UK digital download (Amazon, CinemaNow, iTunes, PlayStation, VUDU and Xbox Live) from next week (February 5th) and will surely bring in the acclaim, and the big-time coffers, for MGM/SONY (and distributor FOX) all over again, as fans old and new re-relish the latest fix of Craig coolness, big action, big locales and beautiful women in stunning high-definition.

The Blu-ray and DVD set follow a week later on 12th February. The former has a directors commentary from Sam Mendes- his well-received work on Skyfall once again cementing him as the darling of British film-making and fully restoring his box office clout, alongside thirteen brief behind the scenes featurettes that cover the making of the film from beginning to end (five of these will also be on the DVD). As with the equally successful Craig debut in Casino Royale, expect a bigger, better Special Edition Blu-ray release of the film in a year or two, likely featuring deleted scenes.
