KOOL TV BABE OF THE WEEK: "LA FEMME NIKITA"s PETA WILSON

No little girl lost! Peta Wilson is LA FEMME NIKITA. Image: WARNER BROTHERS.
Whilst we await the second half of the re-imagined premiere series of the glossy action hit NIKITA (currently showing in UK repeats on SKY LIVINGIT HD, starring Maggie Q in the title role), here's a great picture of the sexy Australian model/actress Peta Wilson when she played the distinctive first TV version of the super-babe assassin with a heart, LA FEMME NIKITA, originally airing on US/Canadian TV for five very successful seasons from 1997 to 2001, adapted by 24 co-creator Joel Surnow from the prior hit 1990 French action movie by Luc Besson.

Beyond NIKITA, Wilson's transatlantic crossing acting career has continued in a variety of roles, including an intriguing turn as another re-imagined character, Mina Harker (from Bram Stoker's DRACULA story), now half human/ half vampire, in the film adaptation of THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN graphic novel series, opposite ex-007 Sean Connery as Alan Quartermain, as a NASA administrator trapped with a group of journalists inside a crash-landing space shuttle which needs to be rescued by the Man of Steel in SUPERMAN RETURNS, and soon to be seen in the UK in an episode of the eighth season of the ever popular TV series CSI: MIAMI, titled "Sudden Death", when it returns to FIVE later in the Summer.

It looks like Wilson is one lady who's just as formidable as Nikita herself when it comes to enduring popularity!
