A classic seventies movie poster for several episodes of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's UFO TV series that were released theatrically in Italy. Image: ITC. |
Sadly, for the last six or so months, there's been very little news on the upcoming cinematic re-imagining of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's classic TV sci-fi adventure series U.F.O.- it's now apparently set for release in 2013, and has a new behind the scenes team financially backing it, although special effects man turned director Matthew Gratzner is still going to be behind the camera directing it next year. It's also not confirmed whether HEROES Ali Larter or FRINGE's Joshua Jackson are still involved in the movie, either, but we can but hope that they are (did anyone notice the lovely U.F.O. reference in a recent FRINGE episode? Walter Bishop had to open Peter's childhood toys and found a U.F.O. seventies lunchbox!).
Whilst we wait for more in-depth press releases/info come, why not check out our newly revised feature on the classic series, here: UNIDENTIFIED FLYING RE-MAKE!! | KOOL TV
