The sixth season of America's favourite quirky but determined female detective, Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (as played by the always watchable, and award wining actress Kyra Sedgwick), THE CLOSER, continues its exclusive run on the UK's MORE 4 channel Thursday nights, and this time there's further challenges and verbal sparring in her Priority Murder Squad with the return of Emmy nominated ex-BATTLESTAR GALACTICA actress Mary McDonnell, once more playing Brenda's quietly antagonistic opponent, Captain Sharon Raydor, as they investigate the disappearance of a nanny. Future episodes see Brenda plan to run for the Chief of Police, her investigating the aftermath of a bank robbery gone wrong, the brutal slaying of three US military men (with an outcome that will lead to serious problems for Johnson in Season Seven), and the murder of an actress using an online dating service. And, making things even worse: her parents are coming for Christmas!
